The Yoga Centre is proud to announce that Meg Barber has joined our teaching staff. Starting Dec 6, she will take over the Sunday 8:30am Hatha II class at TFC.
Meg has been studying yoga since 1999. Her yoga teaching experiences include basic, beginning, continuing, partner, aqua and restorative yoga. She has created and hosted a number of workshops including yoga for the lower back, practice at home and the application of yogic philosophy in the workplace. She completed her 200 hour studies with the Temple of Kriya Yoga in June, 2004 and her 300 hour studies with the Bhavana Institute in June of 2012. She is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance at the 500 hour level and is an experienced yoga teacher at the 200 hour level. Meg continues her yoga studies with Kathleen Wright, Janet MacLeod and Kim Schwartz. In addition to yoga, Meg has trained in Meditation, Usui Reiki, Astrology, Aromatherapy, Dream Analysis and Dowsing healing modalities.
With her roots in corporate America and her training in energetic healing, Meg has experienced yoga as a valuable tool for centering, stress reduction, inspiration and relaxation. She also believes that yoga increases wellness while improving the quality of life. With this in mind, Meg believes that yoga should be made available to people of all abilities.
Meg is a long-time resident of Oak Park and is eager to get to know our yoga community. Please join me in welcoming her to our staff.
