What do our students say?
The Prenatal Yoga class helped not only my body feel better during a somewhat painful pregnancy but it quieted my mind and gave me time to focus on and send positive energy to myself and my baby-on-the-way.Aly S.
The Yoga Centre has a full array of convenient classes -- morning, noon and evening -- which is great for people with non-traditional work hours."Michael H.
I have been a regular attendee at The Yoga Centre since they first opened and I love it. The instructors are all highly qualified, creative, friendly and provide considerable 1:1 instruction. The workshops add new dimensions to yoga practices, and the studio is comfortable, inviting and has a good variety of props. I think any yogi or aspiring yogi can find a welcoming home there.Rhoda B.
The Yoga Centre opened its doors at 266 Lake Street in the Fall of 2011. For the previous 20 years, yoga classes of all types had been held within the doors of our sister facility, the Tennis and Fitness Centre (TFC), across the street. Demand for these classes became so great that the need for a dedicated program, with its own space, became clear. An opportunity for studio space became available, and so the move was on! While retaining some yoga classes at the TFC, the additional space at The Yoga Centre allowed us to broaden class offerings and staffing. This expansion included lengthening some classes and adding new yoga styles, including multi-level Hatha, Vinyasa, Restorative and Meditation. Classes for special populations (Kids, Baby & Me, Prenatal, Seniors) and workshops were added. Today, we are proud to offer the finest instructors with extensive yoga training, lengthened classes for stronger practice, more props and a wide variety of yoga classes- plus Nia and BeMoved®!
